On February 12, 2013, Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney joined CIIP staff and partners in Ottawa to celebrate CIIP serving 20,000 clients since its inception. The 20,000th graduate is Patricia Sayao, a nurse from the Philippines who will be coming to Canada in April. Recently-arrived China graduates Yuebin Ding and Weizhi Huang shared their migration story and received Canada Olympic mittens from the Minister. The celebration was part of a CIIP Focal Point Partner Workshop held February 12 and 13 in Ottawa.

On January 10, 2013, Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney visited the CIIP India office. The Minister received an update on client service in India, participated in an interactive session with the clients in attendance and presented them with their certificates. Following the meeting, the Minister tweeted, "Met some tremendous folks about to immigrate from India to CDA through the Skilled Worker Program. They had participated in the Canadian Immigration Integration Project, ie pre-arrival orientation which helps immigrants get a head start." |

On October 12, 2012, Immigration Minister Jason Kenney visited the UK/Gulf Field Office of ACCC’s Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP). He spoke about the value of overseas services for newcomers, heard stories of successful graduates and presented certificates to CIIP clients in attendance. He then met with representatives of the UK Association of Colleges regarding linkages in the possible delivery of a federal skilled trades pilot program for immigrants.

On July 17, 2012, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird visited the CIIP Philippines office, accompanied by the Ambassador of Canada to the Philippines, His Excellence Christopher Thornley. They spent time with CIIP clients, taking questions, engaging in conversation and providing advice to a very attentive audience. The Minister also presented certificates to CIIP graduates.

This conference held in Ottawa October 13-14, 2010, brought together CIIP stakeholders, partners and graduates from across Canada as well as staff from overseas for the CIIP Pilot Wrap Up and Program Launch.
