  • you are completing the application process for a Canadian immigrant visa, usually in a stage where you have been requested to undergo your medical examinations, and security and background checks have been initiated
  • you have received one of the following:
    • an invitation letter and CIIP brochure
    • a medical/security notification letter
    • a visa pick-up notification letter
    • a Canadian visa (but have not landed in Canada yet)

Please note: If you have applied for immigration to Canada through Immigration-Québec your integration journey will be supported by the Government of Québec. Québec bound immigrants may also find some useful integration information in this Guide for Successful Integration.

Participation in CIIP is entirely voluntary. It will not affect the immigration procedures in any way. Actual participation in a CIIP orientation session is not a guarantee or an indicator that your immigration application will ultimately be successful or that you will receive an immigrant visa.
